I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope all those of you who needed to travel have made it to where you want or need to be. It took me two days to get over to Ireland to be with my family. A quick plane journey turned into a mix of taxis, buses, trains and a ferry to finally get to a very snowing Dublin…an extended journey which brought back memories of a certain ash cloud a few months ago.
It’s great to be back home in Ireland, to relax with family and to catch up with friends. As many of you know, Ireland has received a bit of a bashing over the past few months…some of it deserved and some of it not. But it’s not all doom and gloom here and everyday life continues, despite the recession, the IMF and the bank bailouts.
Anyway, I hope you all have a great Christmas wherever you are. To all those I worked with in 2010, it was a pleasure and I look forward to working with you again in 2011.
Enjoy the break and remember to wrap up warm…
